James Bond Jr. TV Series "The Beginning" Review

James Bond fans i've covered alot of the official James Bond films several times and well I thought i'd take a look at something different but is still James Bond related. Heck I don't expect alot of people to know about what i'm going to be talking about today which is fair enough as it's such a little known show and so then join me as I review the first episode of the show that saw James Bond life through the 1990's with the episode in question being called simply just "The Beginning" enjoy.

The plot of this episode is James Bond Jr. the nephew of James Bond finds out that his car an Aston Martin DB5 is the target of SCUM and most do everything that he can to stop the car from falling into the wrong hands. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty OK at best as this episodes plot really wasn't the strongest plot to open up this show with in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this episode is Corey Burton as James Bond Jr. and Jeff Bennett as Horace "I.Q." Boothroyd III and S.C.U.M. Lord. . Also starring in this episode is Voice acting legend Mona Marshall as Tracy Milbanks , Jan Rabson as Gordon "Gordo" Leiter and Jaws , Susan Silo as Phoebe Farragut , Simon Templeman as Trevor Noseworthy , Julian Holloway as Bradford Milbanks and Brian Stokes Mitchell as Buddy Mitchell.

Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. As this episodes cast are quite clearly trying to make this episodes script work for them the issue is tho si that this episodes gives none of this episodes cast anything to work with interms of what their respective characters personalities even are and as such even tho this show is made up of mostly great voice actors and actresses they can't turn in that good of a performance in this episode due to the fact that this episodes script just won't allow for it.

Dong the animation form this episode is either Amisong Production , Hung Long Animation Company , Philippine Animation Studio Inc. and Varga Studio. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual animation that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode wasn't all that bad but that's also the issue as this episodes animation wasn't all that good either.

For some strange reason the makers of this show seem to think that the Aston Martin DB5 can fly when in fact the opposite is true. I get why they obsess over it in this episode as they do explain in the episode why they want to get a hold of the car but it just seems that they have the car fly when if you watch any of the James Bond films in which the car appears you can see clear as day that the car cannot fly heck none of James Bonds cars can fly which makes it all the perplexing that they chose to make the most famous James Bond car fly.

I don't know why but again for some strange reason the makers of this show chose to have one of Bond's most famous silent enemies Jaws talk quite alot in this episode. Granted this isn't a big issue as the character did talk near the end of Moonraker but even then he only said a few words where as here he never shuts up and that makes him an annoying character as all you end up doing is begging for his character to get of off the screen which is weird because the opposite is true for his live action counterpart where you can't wait to see him again on screen.

This show does have one of the main Bond film producers working on this show that being Michael G. Wilson being created as co-creator of the show. While this episode does feel like a kids James Bond film it doesn't really do a good job of setting up the cast for this show with alot of the side characters just being dropped for no reason and the main characters not really being given much in terms of personality which in turn does make it hard to form a connection of any kind with any of this show main characters.

Now then this episode has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly twenty one minuets and seventeen seconds. Which was pretty much the bog standard running time for any cartoon coming out around this same time period an to this episodes credit it does make the most of this running time and it does have more then enough story their to cover that amount of running time I just wish that was a bit longer just so the characters could be fully fleshed out more instead of being very one dimensional but I will admit that this episode does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then since this is an action show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very episode was in all honesty not that bad. Which for this show not that bad is amazing but this episode isn't helped by the fact that this show most likely had a small budget and as such that action does come across as rather stiff and stilted in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this wasn't that bad of an episode and if you can ignore the fact that the only child James Bond somehow had a relative who then named their son after James Bond then there's some enjoyment to be had in this episode in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are this very episode in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very episode really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikipedia , the official James Bond fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personal favorite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being the official James Bond fandom wiki page just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on the official James Bond fandom wiki page are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.

The Spy Who Loved Me Film Review

Even tho the James Bond film franchise is pretty much box office gold today it wasn't always the case as back in the mid seventies the franchise was on the verge of dying out. With both Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun not getting really that good reviews and not doing that good at the office coupled with the fact that franchise co-producer Harry Saltzman had some serious debts of his own to pay off there really was alot of pressure on this film to succeed to prove to people that James Bond really can survive outside out of the sixties and so then join me as I review the film saved the James Bond franchise with the film in question being called simply just "The Spy Who Loved Me" enjoy. The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with teaming up a Russian spy in order to stop a reclusive megalomaniac from creating a new world under the sea. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented
