My First Impressions Of 007: Road To A Million

There have been tons of James Bond films and dozens of James Bond video games yet there has been one corner of entertainment that the James Bond franchise is yet to conquer. That being the world of TV yes there was the James Bond Jr. animated series but as that never really lasted long and wasn't an official production it's not really worth counting well now there is an official James Bond themed TV show out and well you all just knew that I had to check out this show really the very first chance that I got and so then join me as I give you my first impressions of the show that really doesn't use the James Bond licence very well with the show in question being called simply just "007: Road To A Million" enjoy.

The idea behind this show is that nine couples have to compete in several chances for a chance to earn there fair share of nine million pounds. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual idea that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual idea that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad altho at the same time it's not really the best idea for a James Bond themed game show as if you take away the James Bond name this really could be the setup for any adventure game show as there's really nothing in it that screams James Bond in the slightest in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Starring in this show is An Adventure In Space And Time ,  X2 and Manhunter star Brian Cox as The Controller. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very show well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured  presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad but that's also the issue as the acting in this show wasn't that good with Brian Cox trying to turn in a good performance but the issue is tho is that his host character isn't an interesting host type of character as he doesn't really interact with any of the contestants outside of phone calls and his voice appearing through suitcase which is a shame as that is something that really cold have helped with Brian Cox's performance in this show.

The contestants appearing in these first two episodes are brothers James and Joey and sisters Saiqa and Sana. With the other contestants appearing in these two episodes being former colleagues Keith and Nick and married couple Kamara and Josh. The contestants in these first two episodes were really the highlight of these first two episodes as alot of them were really entertaining however at the same time given that this is kind of a quiz show you can quite clearly see who the producers wanted to win as alot of them would be given really easy questions when compared to the other contestants which did take alot of the enjoyment out of it as you knew that there were going to get their question right and that does take alot of the tension out of these first two episodes.

This show  does commit a pretty big game show sin and that's the fact that it never fully sets out what the rules of this show even are in the first place. This is something that really should have been fixed as it makes it easier for your viewer to understand what's going on and it makes it easier for your viewer to connect with any of your contestants and yet because the makers of this show chose exclude that one simple it now makes it harder for us the viewers to understand what's going on and to connect with the contestants and on top of that it's also a very common thing to include and the fact that the makers of this show chose not to include that one simple things says that they really have no idea how game shows work.

Outside of the title , the use f the James Bond theme and some props there's really nothing in this show that connects it to the world of the James Bond. Even the questions that the contestants have to answer aren't James Bond related there more general knowledge questions which makes me wonder why EON Productions decided to go ahead with this show and why the makers of this show chose not to go all in with the James Bond theming as you could have had actors from the shows come in to help the contestants out in character and you could have had all the questions be related to James Bond instead of just having some locations that are vaguely similar to locations that are seen in the films as that really doesn't justify the James Bond theming of this show.

Just based of off the two episodes that I saw of this eight episode first season it appears as if each episode will mainly focus on one of the pair of the contestants. Which is a smart way to handle things as it does allow for each of the  groups to get equal scree time however all of that falls apart quite quickly as alot of the contestants in these first two episodes just aren't that fun to watch yes the brothers have their moments but for the most part they just aren't that fun to watch either with them coming across as people who just aren't that nice people to be around where as the husband in the married couple just comes across as being useless with him making his wife do alot of the challenges in their debut episode.

I will give the show it is at least trying to do something new and different in the James Bond world but it's because it's new and different doesn't mean that it's good. With this show lacking tension as they take far to long in revealing if a contestant got an answer right or not which would be fine if the show was broadcast on television and they could just cut to commercial break however there not as this show is being broadcast on Amazon Prime which means that those long pauses aren't needed as al they do is feel like padding which takes the away any kind of tension that the episode could have built up and that is something that really does end up really harming these first two episodes and not really helping these first two episodes at all in the slightest.

Noe then episode one of this show has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly fifty minuets and forty nine seconds whilst episode two has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly forty eight minuets and thirty eight seconds. Which is pretty much the bogstanderd running time for a game show like this one to have but at the same time both of these episodes feel like a chore to sit through as alot of them are just on repeat made with alot of them not really doing or anything or different and as such both of these episode should have been alot shorter just to make them both alot more easier to watch and when you take into count that all nine of these episodes are also around the same length it would no doubt make the whole series a chore to sit through as well but I will admit that both of these episodes really do have some really good pacing to them.

So now then as this is a challenges game show that means that I have to actually talk about the actual challenges that are actually featured /presented to us in these very episodes well then in all honesty I in al honesty personally thought / felt that the actually that the actual challenges that are actually featured / presented to us in this very show was in all honesty not that bad. As alot of the challenges in this shows first two episodes were really creative with them having a James Bond feel to them alot of the time but having good challenges isn't enough to make this show worth watching as you still have a bad show at it's core but having some decent challenges does at least make these first episodes somewhat decent to watch though in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall while all nine of this shows first season episodes are indeed out now I wouldn't really recommend this show to anyone not even a James Bond fan as this is just that bad of a show in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in these first two episode in this post and as this is only my first impressions i'm not giving to give this show and as  have no intention of ever watching the rest of the shows episodes for now i'm never going to review this show nor give it a raring.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very post from the official James Bond fandom wiki page , IMP Awards . Com and Goggle Images, With my personal favorite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being Google Images just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on Google Images are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.

The Spy Who Loved Me Film Review

Even tho the James Bond film franchise is pretty much box office gold today it wasn't always the case as back in the mid seventies the franchise was on the verge of dying out. With both Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun not getting really that good reviews and not doing that good at the office coupled with the fact that franchise co-producer Harry Saltzman had some serious debts of his own to pay off there really was alot of pressure on this film to succeed to prove to people that James Bond really can survive outside out of the sixties and so then join me as I review the film saved the James Bond franchise with the film in question being called simply just "The Spy Who Loved Me" enjoy. The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with teaming up a Russian spy in order to stop a reclusive megalomaniac from creating a new world under the sea.
