Goldfinger A Short Film Review

Even tho there are many Bond films out there there are really only two films that people consider to be THE quite essential James Bind film. With the film that i'm going to be reviewing for you all today being just such a film and so then join me as I review the film that launched the James Bond franchise into the mainstream with the film in question being called simply just "Goldfinger" enjoy.

The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with stopping Auric Goldfinger from trying to Rob Fort Knox. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films plot being equal parts thrilling and equal parts exciting with the plot of this film being just a good plot in general as it gives us something new by showing us James Bond having to think on his feet and use his wits when he's caught by the films villain something that very little films actually show us with the plot of this film also being really rather entertaining and as well as being really rather engaging as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course starring in this film is Sir Sean Connery as James Bond and Bernard Lee as M. Also starring in this film is Lois Maxwell as Miss Moneypenny and Desmond Llewelyn as Q with the acting from all of the MI6 regulars being just as good as you'd want it to be with Sean in particular being really comfortable in the role of James Bond and just having alot of fun in playing the character with the same thing also being true for all of the MI6 regulars with all of them looking really comfortable in there roles and having alot more fun in playing there characters something which does help there performances be even better then what they usually are.

Also starring in this film is Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore and Gert Fröbe as Auric Goldfinger. Also starring in this film is Shirley Eaton as Jill Masterson , Tania Mallet as Tilly Masterson , Cec Linder as Felix Leiter and Harold Sakata as Oddjob. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with all of this actors really turning in some really good performances with the guest cast more then holding there own when it comes to acting against the films returning actors with the acting that's in this very film also being helped by the fact that this films script is just so good that all this films actors really have to do is just say the lines as they are written and a good performance really will come out of them naturally which is something that really does help to raise the overall quality of the acting that's in this very film.

This film does technically have two Bond girls with the first one being Tilly Masterson and the second one being Pussy Galore. With the better of the two being Pussy Galore not because of the fact that we get to spend alot more time with her as a character but rather it's because of the fact that she's the better written as Goldfinger could quite literally kill her the second that he's bored and so her life is on the line every single time that she's on screen with Goldfinger and while Tilly does have an interesting backstory to her in that she's out for revenge on Goldfinger who had her sister killed off at the start of the film that doesn't do enough to make her an interesting character but it does lay the groundworks for what might have been a really interesting character tho.

Doing the production design fir this film is of cause the great Sir Ken Adam. With his sets in this film being just as great to look at as you'd want to see in a James Bond film as they are big , lavish and outlandish all of which are things that a James Bond set should be as that's the kind of world this character lives in with this films sets being a really good example of that and whole yes the MI6 sets aren't that big they are always outlandish and so you still do buy that they are in the world of James Bond with the best looking set in this film being either the Q Branch set or the set that has the giant laser in it as they are both just stunning sets to look at that not only work for this film but the world as a whole.

This film does have quite a few firsts in it as not only is it the first time that James Bond drives his classic Aston Martin DB5. It's also the first James Bond film to have a pre-title sequence as we now know them to be where the pre-title sequence is a mini mission in its own right that's meant to do nothing more then get you excited for the film that's to come and that is sadly where this film does faulter as while the pre-title sequence is an exicting sequence it doesn't really get you excited for the film as alot of it is really corny and laughable at best but the aspects of it that do work work really well and while this films pre-title sequence might not be the best one out it does deserve alot of credit and respect for being the first one to be it's own mini movie.

Now then this film has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and fifty minutes and one second. Which is a really solid running time for this film to have as the film has just the right amount there interms of plot to fully justify that running time and while yes granted the film could have spent a tad bit less time with Bond being captured it could also be argued that those scenes are needed as they give way to scenes that are actually important to the plot of the film as it's during those scenes that Bond gets to find out about Goldfingers plan to rob Fort Knox and while we don't get any character development from the Bond character that's also true for all of the films in this franchise with it being Pussy Galore who gets the character development in this film but I really will admit that this film really does have some really good pacing to it tho.

So now then as this is an action film that really does mean that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with this films action being just as fun and just as you'd really want it to be with this films action also being really fun to watch and while yes tis films action really boil down to who can hit who the hardest that doesn't mean that it's not really good to see playout as it's also during those scenes rhat we get to see Bond think on his feet and very quickly cone up with a way to defeat his enemies once and for all which us something that really dies make the action in this film really fun to see play out in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film really is one of if not the best James Bind film to watch as it not only gives you all of things that we've come to expext from the Bond films but also things that we didn't know that we wanted to see until we saw them as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that really does mean that this very film really does earn itself a grand old score of exactly an 8 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official James Bond fandom wiki page , Tenor , IMP Awards . Com and Google Images. With my personal favorite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being the official James Bond fandom wiki page just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on the official James Bond fandom wiki page are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.
