For Your Eyes Only Film Review

James Bond fans since i've done pretty much all of the very well known or even popular Sir Roger Moore James Bond films. I thought that now was the absolutely right time to take a look at the film that started to show the decline in the quality of the Sir Roger Moore James Bond films and so then join me as I review the film that marked the end of a classic villain until 2015's SPECTRE with the film in question being called simply just "For Your Eyes Only" enjoy.

The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with finding a device that is sought after by both the British and Russians. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty fairly average at best with this films plot not really offering anything that's all the new to the James Bond films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course this film features Sir Roger Moore as James Bond , Walter Gotell as General Anatoly Gogol and Desmond Llewelyn as Q. Also starring in this film is Geoffrey Keen as Sir Frederick Gray and Lois Maxwell as Miss Moneypenny. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with all of the main MI6 regulars doing there usual schtick and turning in some really good performances in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Also starring in this film is Carole Bouquet as Melina Havelock , Topol as Milos Columbo and Lynn-Holly Johnson as Bibi Dahl. Also starring in this film is Julian Glover as Aristotle Kristatos , Cassandra Harris as Countess Lisl , Michael Gothard as Emile Leopold Locque , Jill Bennett as Jacoba Brink , Jack Hedley as Sir Timothy Havelock and James Villiers as Bill Tanner. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with all of this films cast turning in some very passable performances in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does of course have at the very least two Bond girls with the first of which being our main Bond girl Melina Havelock who is played by the seriously stunning Carole Bouquet. I will very fully admit that out of this films two Bond girls she is  the better one of the two since she actually has a rather interesting story arc with her having to learn to not to go down  the path of revenge for the death of her parents which is a rather interesting character arc to have in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

On the flip side of this we have this films other Bond girl Bibi Dahl who is played by the stunning Lynn-Holly Johnson. Since his character is not only very badly written with her having next to personality at all but she's also really annoying which doesn't really help to make her a likable character since all you want to do is you want to see the villain of the film kill her just because that would mean that you wouldn't be annoyed by her freaking character any more in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Out of the two characters I have to say that I prefer Melina since even tho she to has no personality she at the very least has a rather character arc. Which is something that cannot be said for Bibi Dahl who could be removed entirely from the films script and nothing of importance would be lost from the final film since that's how unimportant this character is in the grand scheme of things in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Doing the production design for this film is Peter Lamont and well just like with all of his sets that he's created for his James Bond films I have very mixed opinions on the sets that's he's created for this film. Since some of the sets that he created for his film are indeed great looking sets but then you also get an awful lot of sets which not only don't look good but more importantly don't look like that they belong in the world of the James Bond films which for a James Bond film is a pretty big deal in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film is also the second James Bond film to feature a reference to Tracy with the first one being of course The Spy Who Loved Me. Which is something that I actually liked since it shows that all of the James Bond films share the same continuity and it gets rid of the stupid codename theory plus it's always nice to see a James Bond film make a reference to a character who is as beloved as Tracy was in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This films title song is called "For Your Eyes Only" and is sung by singer Sheena Easton and well to say that I don't like this song is an understatement. Since this song is not only rather forgettable but is also rather boring both of which don't help this song out at all since even tho it's rather well sung that won't matter as long as your song is both boring and forgettable and those two things very sadly hold this song back from being the great James Bond opening title theme song that it could possibly become in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course creating the opening titles for this film is regular James Bond opening title creator Maurice Binder. Who doesn't really give us his best work with this film since this films opening title whilst they do indeed look very visually stunning they are also rather boring as well since they don't do anything that's all that new or even interesting and this is very sadly an all to common issue with all of the eighties James Bond films in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does also feature the "death" of Ernst Stavro Blofeld however it's done in such a campy and over the top way. That it really does a disservice to the character since the character of Ernst Stavro Blofeld would never do the things that he does in this films opening titles which just make the character feel alot more like a parody of himself which is a shame because the death of this character should be a very big since he's James Bond arch-nemesis and it's something that shouldn't be treated as a joke in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then while I cannot remember whatever his films running time even was I do know that for a fact that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly two hours and two minuets. Which for this film is bit of a long time simply because of the fact that this film really doesn't have alot of story to cover that large amount of running time and as such the film does feel quite boring and incredibly slow paced at times in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty the best aspect of this film. Since this is where the film gets to be it's most entertaining and it's also where the film gets to be it's most dark and it's brutal as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this is a very lackluster of a film which is a shame because it has alot going for it it's just a shame because when the film does something right it really does get it right in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 5.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from IMP Awards . Com , the official James Bond fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personal favourite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being the official James Bond fandom wiki page just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on the official James Bond fandom wiki page are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.

The Spy Who Loved Me Film Review

Even tho the James Bond film franchise is pretty much box office gold today it wasn't always the case as back in the mid seventies the franchise was on the verge of dying out. With both Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun not getting really that good reviews and not doing that good at the office coupled with the fact that franchise co-producer Harry Saltzman had some serious debts of his own to pay off there really was alot of pressure on this film to succeed to prove to people that James Bond really can survive outside out of the sixties and so then join me as I review the film saved the James Bond franchise with the film in question being called simply just "The Spy Who Loved Me" enjoy. The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with teaming up a Russian spy in order to stop a reclusive megalomaniac from creating a new world under the sea. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented
