The Man With The Golden Gun Film Review

James Bond fans it's been a good few months since I last reviewed a James Bond film while I did try to get a James Bond review out before the end of last year I just couldn't be bothered to one. So I put of what I was going to review then until now and I promise you you'll be seeing me just as much this year as you did last year and so then join me as I review the film that features an acting icon with the film is question being called simply just "The Man With The Golden Gun" enjoy.

The plot of this film is James Bind is tasked with finding a piece sensitive solar technology all the while trying to avoid being killed one of the world's greatest assassins. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual plot that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty not that bad with this films plot being dumb but enjoyably dumb in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Of course starring in this film is Sir Roger Moore as James Bond , Lois Maxwell as Miss Moneypenny , Desmond Llewelyn as Q and Bernard Lee as Bernard Lee as M. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with all of the main MI6 regulars playing their roles rather well even if alot of them only appear in one scene and get very little to do.

Also starring in this film is Christopher Lee as Francisco Scaramanga and Britt Ekland as Mary Goodnight. Also starring in this film is Maud Adams as Andrea Anders , Hervé Villechaize as Nick Nack , Clifton James as Sheriff J.W. Pepper , Richard Loo as Hai Fat , Soon-Taik Oh as Lieutenant Hip , Marc Lawrence as Rodney , Sonny Caldinez as Kra , Marne Maitland as Lazar and James Cossins as Colthorpe. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual acting that's actually acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual acting that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good with all of this cast members turning in all really good performances some of which are better then the performances from some some of the main MI6 regulars cast members because that's how good the acting is in this film.

The main bond girl for this film is Mary Goodnight who is played by the seriously stunning Britt Ekland. I have to admit that out of the two Bond Girls that we get in this film Mary Goodnight is the weaker of the two simply because of the fact that she adds nothing to the mission and is their purely as eye candy and nothing more then tat and that doesn't make her an interesting character at all heck if anything this character is more of hindrance to Bond since she's always getting in his way during this very film since she's that useless of a character.

The other Bond Girl for this film is Andrea Anders who is played by the seriously stunning Maud Adams. Out of the two Bond Girls that we get in this film Andrea is quite easily the better of the characters since she's the more compelling character as well as being the better written character since she is the girlfriend of Francisco Scaramanga and so every single time that we see her with Bond it could be the last time that we see because of the fact that her life is on the line every single time she's leaves Scaramanga's Island because that's just how bad her position is during the course of this James Bond film.

Andrea is a character that's known violence against her for i'd say most if not all of her adult life and so she's just looking for a way out. This make Bond come across as kind of a villain since he does threaten Andrea a couple of times and this is something that Sir Roger Moore himself has gone on record as saying that he was uncomfortable filming those scenes and I can see why since his version of Bond wouldn't have to hit a woman to get information out of them he'd use his words and seduce the information out of them.

Doing the production design for this film is Peter Murton who had also done the production design Superman 2 and 3 among many others. I really have very mixed feelings about the sets that he created for this film since on the one hand the sets that he created for this film do look like that they fit in with the world of James Bond but on the other hand the sets that he created for this film just look rather bland and are rather uninspired.

For some reason the character of Sheriff J.W. Pepper is included in this film which just doesn't make any kind of sense. Since that character would never eve leave his state let alone America and yet he is his Thailand I get that the director liked the character but that doesn't mean that he had to be included in this film since it makes no sense for this character to be here and he's only here just to get a few cheap laughs and that's and that's not really enough to justify having this character really play apart in this very film.

Doing the theme song for this film is singer Lulu with the song itself also being called The Man With The Golden Gun. Unlike alot of the James Bond fandom I actually quite like this song since it's a very upbeat song that you could very easily dance along to whenever the song is played on the radio and it helps that the song is also fairly well written even if it's not sung all that well which is a shame because this is a rather fun song.

This films opening titles were of course done by the late and the most certainly great Maurice Binder who did a really good job. With this film s opening titles matching the tone of the song perfectly by being a rather fun set of opening titles however what lets this films opening titles down is the fact that they just aren't that memorable and while they do match the tone of the song they don't really match the tone of the film which is something that opening titles really for any film shouldn't do not just the James Bond films at all.

This film does a good of making Francisco Scaramanga seem like an actual threat since we see him kill quite a few people in this film the most notable of which being of course Andrea Anders. This makes us the audience feel alot more scared for James Bond because we know just how good of an assassin that Francisco Scaramanga is and the fact that he has an entire fan house just designed for him to keep his skills sharp just goes to show just how insane that he truly is which makes him seem all the more terrifying since he could kill Bond at any moment during the film but he openly chooses not to because it's not all that fun for him.

Now then while I cannot for the absolutely life of me remember whatever this films running time even was I do know that this film has / had an exact grand total running time of roughly one hour and fifty nine minuets. Which does make the film feel alot longer then what it really needs to be especially when it comes to the third act which just seems to drag on and on this is also because we basically have two climax's which does get a bit tiring and as such I really do think that they should have cut down on alot o the stuff with Bind and Goodnight escaping from Scaramanga's Island since alot of it just really isn't needed at all.

So now then since this is an action film that means that I have to actually talk about the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film well then in all honesty I in all honesty personally thought / felt that the actual action that's actually featured / presented to us in this very film was in all honesty really good. Since all of this films action was genuinely quite exciting and heck this film gave us one of the best car stunts of all time which was then ruined by a sound effect but the actual stunt itself is still impressive in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is fun film and it's one of the many James Bond films that I find myself coming back to quite alot but at the same time it's also a really deeply flawed James Bond film as well in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film earns itself a grand old score of exactly a 7 out of 10 from me.

Now then as where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from Wikipedia , the official James Bond fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personal favorite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being Google Images just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on Google Images are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.

The Spy Who Loved Me Film Review

Even tho the James Bond film franchise is pretty much box office gold today it wasn't always the case as back in the mid seventies the franchise was on the verge of dying out. With both Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun not getting really that good reviews and not doing that good at the office coupled with the fact that franchise co-producer Harry Saltzman had some serious debts of his own to pay off there really was alot of pressure on this film to succeed to prove to people that James Bond really can survive outside out of the sixties and so then join me as I review the film saved the James Bond franchise with the film in question being called simply just "The Spy Who Loved Me" enjoy. The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with teaming up a Russian spy in order to stop a reclusive megalomaniac from creating a new world under the sea. Now then interms of what I personally thought / felt about the actual plot that's actually featured / presented
