Goldenera Film Review

James Bond fans when the franchise was back in the mid to late nineteen nineties we would be getting lots of James Bond video games. Well the most famous James Bond video game is now roughly thirty years old and to celebrate this occasion there's been a documentary about the game released and so then join me as I review the film that takes a look back at a classic video game with the film in question being called simply just "Goldenera" enjoy.

Since this is a documentary it doesn't have an actual story to tell however this film does deal with the making and the release of Goldeneye for the N64. Which I do feel was a somewhat interesting angle to take since the makers of this game became somewhat rockstars and so having them be the main focus of this film does make alot of sense in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

However having the people behind the game be the main stars of the film is a good thing what isn't a good thing is the fact that alot of those same people are just boring people. Which does make me wonder the filmmakers chose to include them in this film since they are very dull sounding people and since the team at Rare was a very big team at that point why didn't they just bring in one of those people as it would have made the film a bit more entertaining to watch in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

What was entertaing to watch was hearing how this legendary game was almost cancelled. Since it really does make you appreciate all of the hard work that this team put into the game not only to make a quick profit from video game sales but to make a game that you'd actually want to buy and that is a very good thing indeed in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

As we all know this film is about the freaking video game tie in to the James Bond film Goldeneye. However what might shock some of you is the fact that this game was released alot more closer to the release of Tomorrow Never Dies then either the theatrical release or the home video release for Goldeneye with this game being delayed mostly so the makers of the game can help the game even more fun to play which is what a good video game should be in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does do a really solid job of giving you all of the video game language and not dumbing it down. Which is something that they very could have done since not alot of people know how to make a video game but here in this film they do it in a way that puts across all of the relevant information and still makes it all fairly easy to understand in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

This film does feature an awful lot of talking heads which does make all of this interview segments seem dull and lifeless. As such II really do feel that they should have done what they did with In The Search Of Darkness and split the film up into segments and have different people being interviewed in each of the segments as that would have added just a tad bit more life into those interview segments in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

One thing that I have to give this film credit for is showing us how this game made an impact on fans. Since that is something that is very often overlooked when it comes documentaries like this one which is a shame because without the fans this game wouldn't be as popular as it was back then nor would it be as popular as it is right now in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Now then this film I think has / had an exact grand total running time of exactly one hour and thirty seven minuets. Which was a tad bit of a long running time for this film to have and not really helping matters is the fact that this film does feel quite boring for large portions of this films running time and as such this film would have been better served if it came at well under one hour and thirty minuets in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

So now then what would have made this film a little better was if they talked about why they wanted to make this game in the first place. Since then we would have gotten at least some form of context on the making of the game and it would have helped if they said why they thought that this game was still so popular today as it would have made the makers of this game seem alot like actual fans of the game itself in my freaking opinions anyways / at least.

Overall this film is a really good film for fans of this game since it does talk about the legacy that this game left behind but it is still a rather boring film to watch tho in my freaking opinions anyways / at least. Now then i've talked about all of the good and as well as all of the bad things that are in this very film in this very review and as such that means that this very film erns itself a grand old score of exactly a 6.5 out of 10 from me.

Now then as for where I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review well then boys and girls and as well as ladies and gentlemen I personally got all of the images that I personally used in this very review from the official James Bond fandom wiki page and Google Images. With my personal favourite website to use to get the images that I used in this very review being the official James Bond fandom wiki page just simply due to the fact that pretty much all of the images that are featured / presented to us and are currently up and also on the official James Bond fandom wiki page are all fairly high quality and as well as being fairly high definition and well then boys and girls just freaking like James Bond I will return.

The Spy Who Loved Me Film Review

Even tho the James Bond film franchise is pretty much box office gold today it wasn't always the case as back in the mid seventies the franchise was on the verge of dying out. With both Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun not getting really that good reviews and not doing that good at the office coupled with the fact that franchise co-producer Harry Saltzman had some serious debts of his own to pay off there really was alot of pressure on this film to succeed to prove to people that James Bond really can survive outside out of the sixties and so then join me as I review the film saved the James Bond franchise with the film in question being called simply just "The Spy Who Loved Me" enjoy. The plot of this film is James Bond is tasked with teaming up a Russian spy in order to stop a reclusive megalomaniac from creating a new world under the sea.
